TweetAdder – For Business or Pleasure!
You may have already brought TweetAdder, or you might be thinking about it. Whichever the case may be, many don’t understand fully how to make the program work.
I do use TweetAdder for all my clients and you’ll be amazed how much this program will help you. If you just want lots of followers for fun, it’s great to use, if you are on Twitter for Business, then you really should be taking advantage of this powerful tool. Do you see lots of website saying buy followers? Guess what they’ll be using this program, so rather than pay hundreds of $ / £s make the most of TweetAdder.
If you haven’t got TweetAdder yet, have a look here TweetAdder
I’m going to take you through a step by step set up, which I hope will help you. For Tweet Adder to run at its best, then a computer that can be on 24/7 would be useful. If one is not available, ensure it’s the first thing you turn on each morning.
Lets get started:
Now you’ve brought the program you should have at this stage followed the process, as per your purchase email and added the registration details and connected with your Twitter account. If you didn’t work out how to connect to your Twitter account, then below will help you there.
Make sure you have launched your program! Follow each step as it flows down the page.
You’ll see a selection, you’ll have to add your account, this is how you add additional accounts too if you’ve purchased the larger packages:
This is your top menu, so click on Manage User button.
You need to enter your Twitter User-name and Password, then click on Add User
Once the validation has been accepted you will see the user-name and registration coded in the table above.
Now you have your account added, click on the top Menu Overview
In the Overview you will see something like below :
This will open your page, where you will see a menu on the left hand side and text boxes and options on the right! We need to set our searches, what type of people are you looking for? What area of the World are they? Here we need to use key words and set our areas. Click on Search, it should already be there, but to make sure we’re on the same page, click again.
A few things to do here, first click the On Button. Second add your keyword and the area. Third choose Recency as 2 days (we want active accounts) and the language you are looking for. Now click Search! This will then run and collate pages of users, click the stop button when you have around 5 pages collated, you’ll see a little link appear showing how many pages there are.
When you click the stop button wait a few moments for the results page to appear.
We now need to filter this page and get rid of potential spammy accounts. At the bottom of the page there is a filter button, click this and remove all accounts without a profile image.
Now click Save All
Now sometimes our keywords do not find any search results, what will happen in this case is the search will automatically stop and you will be shown an empty results page. Just click the search link again and enter a new search.
Once you’ve got the results page and it was a good result, now click on the Search Button again on the left hand menu. You’ll see that your search query is still there, if you had a good result with this search, now click on the Add Automated Search
Well done, you’re nearly ready to start following and unfollowing. You see in the above image on the right Last Searched When your results follow list hits zero, then the automated search will then work through your list of saved searches, it shows the dates of each time it has completed a search and Finds fresh accounts that have used your keywords in your target area. What’s important to note here is that TweetAdder never follows the same account twice, so unlike manual searches where you have to remember have I followed them already, you can relax knowing that won’t happen. Don’t worry about adding your additional searches yet, you can come back to that.
Setting up the follows, Followback and UnFollow’s
For this just check the images below and make sure that you have the same settings. Once the setting have been entered, TweetAdder automatically saves and implements the settings.
Click on Follow on the left hand menu, then follow instructions in the picture:
When you get to 2000 followers the rules on Twitter change you are now only allowed to follow 10percent of your followers. So we need to change the settings at this point. Above where we’ve entered follow 500 change this to 180. Why 180? We want to leave room to follow back! (((( Note an update on the amount to follow each day, this need to change with Twitter being more strict on mass followings. The Time delay needs to be set to 4-10 minutes, less than this and Twitter are saying we are mass following and suspending accounts.))))
Now let’s set up the Followback, nice and easy this one just set it and leave it alone:
Click on Followback on the left hand menu and follow instructions in the picture:
Finally Unfollow users, again nice and easy to do and you can just leave the settings alone once set. Follow instructions in the picture:
You should now be able to go back and add some more searches in, using your keywords and search areas. Searches that work save to your Automated Searches. I’ll cover the Tweets, Re-tweets and @replies in another training session.
Remember, do not use TweetAdder on it’s own. It is essential for any successful Twitter account to have a human response on it. Make #ff lists of people you’re chatting with as a way of saying thank-you and you’ll go far on Twitter.
Remember if you send messages to people with your advert links, you are spamming and Twitter will eventually suspend your account. Keep your adverts in your time-line only, as your account grows people will visit them there.
Tweet me Feedback, @melaniejane88 I’d like to know how you’ve got on.
My TweetAdder Working
TweetDeck is the best tool I’ve found for creating effective #vip and #ff lists. We want to create these lists with people who we have been chatting with or are retweeting our messages. This is a great way to say thanks for being a #twitterfriend
TweetDeck loads all of the message that have been sent to you, when you click the reply button, like many other programs it put the user name in the text box. What is different with TweetDeck though is that it will let you click the next user and their name will appear next in the text box, but also keeps the last name.
Now scroll through all of your mentions and click every user that you wish to include in your #ff, don’t worry that the red bar comes up, just go through your complete list and collate all the names.
Now open up notepad, you should find this by clicking your windows menu button bottom left of your window, click all programs, click accessories, click notepad.
Now you have notepad open, copy all the user names from TweetDeck that you have just collated and paste them into notepad.
Create your #ff message to go with these user names.
To make it easier to know how far you can take each line, here is 130 characters just copy and paste this into the notepad window, then shrink your window to the 130 characters width, this way you know when you get to the edge of the page, you’ll a need new line.
Why 130? You will be getting people retweet your message, so make it easy for them to do this. Leaving space for the ‘RT’ & ‘your username’ makes it simple for people to get all your message in. If you have a longer username, then just make the message a bit shorter.
Now you can upload them to an auto tweet program to tweet out through the day.
Social Oomph is one I use http://bit.ly/mph00
TweetAdder you can also program tweets http://tiny.cc/ylh55
TweetSpinner is also good to do this http://bit.ly/0_ts
Hope it helps
I left my Twitter page on overnight when I had 30,000 followers to see how many tweets I’d have to catch up with by morning, 11 hours later I’d received 9,736 new tweets. A little bit too much to be looking at to see what was new and what wasn’t. So for people who haven’t been on-line whist ‘you’ were tweeting they wouldn’t have see your ad.
Having repeat, yet varied ads through the day, you are able to reach people when they come online. It is not spamming to have your ads repeat on a daily basis, so if you are using Twitter for adverts, then ensure that you have at least 1 ad an hour running, as your account grows, increase this to 2-3 an hour, but not in the same few minutes of each other spread them out.
Tools I use to automate accounts for repeat tweets and grow followings.
